Building Brighter Brains Beyond 2023
Let the countdown begin! I am filled with hope and promise for 2024. I believe we will see some real shifts in the collective mindset around Alzheimer’s and dementia. We will be doing the work to provide more examples of real people reversing the symptoms of this disease with protocols like those we use at Marama and the Clear Mind Center.
In an appointment with one of my patients and her family, we reflected on the past year and her progress. She began working with me in November 2021 with a MOCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) Score of 8. That score went from an 8 to 13 in just 6 months, and now her MOCA score is at a 15! She’s still working towards improvement as she sometimes repeats herself and has short term memory loss – but she’s not despondent in a corner anymore! My heart swelled when she said to me “I’m part of the family again.” I expect to see more improvement in the year ahead for her.
These are just a few of the things in store for 2024 that will help my efforts to reach as many people as possible:
▶️ From March 26 – April 1, 2024 I’ll be hosting my 4th Reversing Alzheimer’s Summit alongside Dr. Dale Bredesen. Keep an eye out for details.
📙 In June, my book Reversing Alzheimer’s will hit bookstores! I’ll be offering my community special bonuses and preorder opportunities via these emails in a few months.
🏡 As people at Marama and the Clear Mind Center move out – our goal of these assisted living homes is for residents to improve and return back home – we will be able to accept new residents and help more people. If you are even slightly interested, start the application process today so you can see if this is a right fit for you or your loved one and secure a top spot on the waitlist.
🎦 I appear in the documentary Memories for Life – Reversing Alzheimer’s that’s available to rent or buy on AppleTV, PrimeVideo, and other streaming services. Narrated by Grammy-winner Michael Bublé, it is about the first Alzheimer’s patients who are reversing their cognitive decline by following the novel therapeutic protocol from neurologist, Dr. Dale Bredesen.
According to the World Health Organization, there are approximately 10 million new cases of dementia every year. I want 2024 to be the year where that number starts to decline. And thanks to all of these things, I have reason to believe it will happen.
Wishing you a bright and better brain in 2024!
Warmly,
Dr. Heather Sandison
