Cognitive Clarity from a Glowing Gut

As a child I had my nose in a book at any opportunity.

I got good grades, but at my parent-teacher conferences they would give feedback that instead of paying attention to the lesson I was hiding my book (a mystery novel or something about a horse obsessed girl) inside of the larger text book.
To this day, when I get absorbed in a book I will stay up until 3 am to finish it, even knowing I will suffer the next day from sleep deprivation.

I have had my nose in a book this entire week – my book! I’m getting ready to submit my final draft of Reversing Alzheimer’s to my editor and making sure every last detail is in place. I successfully managed to avoid sleep deprivation as well.

How is your sleep?

I’m always aware of my sleep and stress levels because chronic levels of stress and/or poor sleep can increase the risk of inflammation in the gut. Did you know there is an intricate connection between your gut and brain that can impact your cognition?

Sometimes, the gut is even called the “second brain” because it produces many of the same chemicals that the brain does, including serotonin and dopamine.

If you have gut inflammation and the lining of your gut is compromised, both gut health and non-gut health symptoms and health issues can arise…

Leaky gut can even drive brain inflammation.

Your gut-brain connection

Gut inflammation can cause a number of signs and symptoms related to your cognitive and mental health, including cognitive decline, anxiety, depression, ADHD, memory loss, headaches or migraines, difficulty concentrating, and fatigue.

I just learned that Dr. Jaban Moore and Dr. David Jockers have spent the last few months gathering the right experts, information and protocols to help you understand leaky gut, and are sharing this information for free in their Healing Leaky Gut Masterclass, August 14-20. It starts tomorrow, so register today and don’t miss a single presentation.

You’re already eating…

So learn how to eat for health. The Healing Leaky Gut Masterclass is packed not only with research and information, but also clear action steps you can take to start healing your gut and your brain. Healing the gut is one of the best places you can begin to improve your brain health and the cognitive health of your loved ones.

Warmly,
Dr. Heather Sandison

P.S. Here’s an interview I did with best-selling author and clinical researcher Dr. Michael Ruscio that dives deep into the gut-brain connection and how to strengthen their synergy with easy practical tips.
